What did I accomplish?
This week I touched up my spreadsheet and organized my data across the letters I would be using for my research.
I organized my website to make room for my maps and research paper when it's time to upload my internship workings online.
I got started on drafting my GIS mapping projects for my research project.
What were my roadblocks?
Vacation coming up soon definitely got in the way of me getting work done, as it was hard to keep focus knowing the week would be shorter and I'd be going on a trip.
QGIS and it's repeated crashing and issues got in the way of me getting work done more efficiently.
Figuring out how to operate spreadsheets was a headache, and if it were not for the help of others in the cohort and Dr. Stan I would probably still be struggling with it even now.
What I learned?
I learned about how to apply my exported GIS project onto my website in order to allow people to interact and view my maps.
I learned about making an effective presentation following the guidelines provided as well as utilizing the outline provided.
I learned about how to write the results section of my paper and how to effectively describe my research and my findings.
What is my next action/step/thing you need to do for my research?
Finish my maps, work on developing my results and discussion sections of my paper. And putting time into my presentation before the end of the next week.
