What did I accomplish?

Over this week, I completed both my paper and my presentation. But my most important accomplishment was that I completed the Mapping Freedom REU program as this was the last week of the summer internship.

What were my roadblocks?

The stress and anticipation of the symposium really started to get to me this week as Thursday got closer and closer.

I honestly started feeling a little depressed over the fact that the program was concluding. I really was enjoying my time in Hattiesburg and I'm gonna miss a lot of my new friends.

I hit a fairly dramatic writers block when it came to working on my paper, this wasn't helped by the fact that GIS continued crashed during the time I was working on my map, that paired with the unfortunate amount of times I had to redo my slides and map really started to wear down on me.

What I learned?

I learned a lot of strategies to improve my presentation for the symposium, and valuable skills that can be reapplied concerning presentations in the future.

I learned what went into making a paper of this kind, and about the formatting and content that was expected.

I learned about how to add my presentation, research paper, and GIS map to my website for ease of access.

What is my next action/step/thing you need to do for my research?

Go Home!!!!!!!!!!! <|:^)
